Website Questions

How do I find out if my order has shipped?

When can I call Customer Service?

How do I know if I can complete my project?

Are there contractors in my area who can fix my problem?

Answers:

1. How long will a sump pump last?

Most sump pumps will last 18 to 36 months under normal conditions. That is, regular cycle times, proper installation and regular inspection to keep the intake clear of debris.

Sump pumps often fail because the switch and float mechanism become blocked or loose. A simple check of this mechanism is to remove the sump pit cover and manually actuate the float switch. The float mechanism should be easy to move and when it reaches the topmost level of its travel, the sump pump should immediately kick on and run.

2. How many linear feet will a crack injection kit repair?

The Mar-flex OneKit will repair a concrete, poured-wall foundation crack of about 10 feet (lineal) providing that the crack is no wider than 1/4 inch at its widest. Measure the total length of the crack with a measuring tape such as used by a tailor. That way you can calculate the total length even if the crack has "branches..." areas of crack that split from the main.

The Mar-flex ProKit will repair several cracks in a concrete, poured-wall foundation that total up to 30 feet (lineal). Refill kits are also sold on this site.

3. How do I find out if my order has shipped?

Click on the section titled: My Order Status. It will give you step-by-step instructions on how to track your order. If you cannot determine your order status in this way, give us a call at 1-888-769-8765 during business hours and we'll track it for you.

4. When can I call Customer Service?

MyBasementProject.com's Customer Service is answered between 8:00AM and 5:00PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, excluding major USA holidays.

You may send us an email anytime at  sales@mybasementproject.com    and we will try to respond within 24 hours.

5. How do I know if I can complete my project?

Take a look at the difficulty meter on each product information page. This meter represents our best estimate of how hard a given product is to install properly. If you are unfamiliar with do-it-yourself projects, or are unsure of your ability to make an installation, give us a call at 1-888-769-8765. Chances are we can talk you through it or refer you to a local contractor who can assist you. Go ahead, give it a try!

6. Are there contractors in my area who can fix my problem?

Yes. We are developing this as a function of MyBasementProject.com. Until then, please give us a call at 1-888-769-8765 and we'll connect you with a contractor in your area.

About MyBasementProject.com

MyBasementProject.com is a new idea in consumer Do-It-Yourself Web sites. It began in 2006 with the idea to sell products directly to customers who wanted to do the work themselves.

This identified an opportunity to put together and sell everything that a homeowner might need to remediate, renovate and restore their basements into dry, clean and safe living areas. We realized that many homeowners like to do the work themselves and just need access to higher quality materials and systems than are available through local home renovation stores ... We also knew that often these stores carry only the most price-advantageous items and don’t really provide customer service before or after the sale.

Bringing in a team to work on creating a Web site for the effort started in 2008. We also began an exhaustive search of top quality manufacturers and distributors of basement-designated products and systems to augment the product mix ... Concrete Crack Repair, Concrete Coatings, High-End Sump and Back-up Pump Systems, Dehumidifiers, Whole-House Water Filtration Systems, HEPA Air Filtration Systems and Tankless Hot Water Heaters along with Radon Detection and Remediation and Mold Detection and Remediation ... All were brought to our headquarters, tested and evaluated for inclusion with the state-of-the-art line of Mar-flex products: Basement Waterproofing Systems, Concrete and Brick Sealant, Emergency Egress Window Wells and Escape Windows, as well as Green and Recycled Products for Foundation Waterproofing. The emphasis in their search was heavily weighted toward American Manufacturers because of their consistently higher build-quality. Although many times that criteria did not produce the least expensive end product, the team felt that there was a market of consumer do-it-yourselfers who appreciate the value of long-lasting, quality-built products and systems ... Especially where their family's health and safety were concerned.

MyBasementProject is the only specialty retailer of its kind. The products you see now displayed on the pages of MyBasementProject.com are the best that can be found. Available before now only to Contractors, MyBasementProject brings them to you. The result: MyBasementProject.com offers great value, superior service and a broad selection of exceptional-quality basement remediation, restoration and renovation products at reasonable prices ... All brought together to cater to a do-it-yourself, do-it-right, consumer base.
